Instead, BlogPress.ph will be a news and features magazine by and about Filipino bloggers and their weblogs. On the other hand, technologies behind blogging will be reported on, but the purpose will be to inform and encourage appreciation, as opposed to instructing.

Blogs have come of age in the Philippines. Blogs by Filipinos have now reached the critical point of being an indispensable source of information for a burgeoning number of people, as well as a means of gaining personal income by their owners. There needs to be an online resource that can help bloggers — and their readers — make sense of the current state of the Philippine blogosphere.
